Individual Therapy

“What screws us up the most in life is the picture in our head
of what it’s supposed to be.”
― Socrates

Something doesn’t feel right

Sort of like having your underwear on backwards (yes, I have a sense of humor!), life can feel out of whack. Something’s gotten twisted. Uncomfortable. Not quite how you imagined it would be. And you can’t figure it out by yourself.

Dreams haven’t quite panned out. The goals you’ve met aren’t as satisfying as you’d hoped they’d be. The mind circles back to the same worries and frustrations, the same conundrum that you can’t solve.

Time is passing by. When will you get to where you want to be?

What you don’t talk about

People don’t often talk about their mental or emotional hang-ups. You don’t wear a sign on your chest naming the internal struggle you face. So it feels lonely, secretive, and daunting.

But being human includes facing discomfort, pain, and negative feelings. The belief that you should be able to figure these feelings out alone is what keeps you stuck.

It’s okay to see the mess

Imagine being able to put it all out there to someone who will validate what you are feeling and help you understand it. Imagine a place where you’re encouraged to bring the mess.

We all want to be heard and understood.

Therapy is exactly that – a place to unload all the thoughts and feelings you’ve been trying to make sense of on your own. A place to slow down, focus on you, and really look at what’s at play.

How I help

I help you notice the beliefs, emotional habits, and patterns that are running on autopilot—often keeping you on the same hamster wheel despite your best efforts. Together, we unpack what’s been weighing on you, identify what isn’t working, and make thoughtful adjustments.

Much like a music teacher or sports coach can spot technical issues that limit performance, a therapist can help you see themes and emotional tendencies that are hard to recognize on your own. With greater awareness comes clarity, choice, and a stronger sense of control.

There’s no shame in asking for help.

Most people don’t learn how to do this alone.

You get one life. You don’t have to spend it struggling more than necessary.
